Flying with the reserve getting ready for Iceland. The off grid Aviation throttle is perfect for cross country flights because of the cruise control. I actually shaved off part of the version two Killswitch guard to make it a little easier to access, but still left it almost flush with the top of the button. Works out perfectly for me. I found it was a little hard to kill the engine with it at full height. Overall, it’s a great throttle very ergonomically well designed.
Shipping was reasonably fast, and Trevor was very communicative throughout the whole process. Very satisfied with the purchase and the customer service.
It was a birthday present to my son. He called yesterday and was so excited. He said it was amazing how great it was. His hands didn’t go numb like they did. He went on and on. Couldn’t say enough good things!
This was a replacement for my previous off-grid throttle. I liked it so much I got the same one. The first throttle cracked at the base of the handle, not sure if that was an isolated incident with that first unit, or if it's something I need to watch out for. Time will tell on this new one.
I like the Off-grid Throttle. My first throttle broke where the screw passes through the bottom of the padded handle. That's probably from squeezing too hard at full throttle. We'll see.
Pretty decent throttle. Very well constructed, and better quality than the stock Vittorazzi throttle. Although… The vittorazzi throttle felt better, ergonomically in the hand.
I swapped out my stock throttle with a way-too-sensitive kill switch for this throttle and it works great. The addition of electric start on the throttle is a big plus. Thank you Trevor for answering my questions and for the prompt transaction!
