The Ultimate Flying Machine.

It is designed and manufactured by the Mateos family out of france and it's obvious they've poured their heart and soul into every inch of this paramotor. From the top to the bottom, front to the back, every inch has been designed to make this the ultimate flying paramotor.

- Manufactured in France

A Paramotor Made For Adventure:
The Macfly paramotor has been our teams top choice as a paramotor for all of our jaw dropping epic adventures! Here are a few things we've come to appreciate.
![]()
Reclined Seating Position:
On long flights your seating position is very important. If you're seated more veritcally you'll find yourself getting uncomfortable quickly and your arms will begin to get tired. A good 15-20 degree recline can make a big difference with comfort and if you're flying extreme XC flights or just cruising around town, this is something you'll find yourself appreciating. This is also very helpful if you ever need to active pilot in turbulence, as the more reclined you are the less quickly your arms get tired. This is just one of those small things our team has found themselves really appreciating as we've continued to go on our paramotor adventures.

Flat Main Frame:
The section of main frame that you're back is up against is perfectly flat which is another small thing that adds comfort. If the main frame has any form of a kink in it, you'll begin feeling uneasy more quickly and you'll experience more vibration. Having a flat main frame is just a small thing Macfly does that makes it just feel that much more comfortable.
![]()
Cage To Riser Distance:
Another small thing that again makes a difference in you're flying experience is the distance from the cage to the risers while in flight. As you can see in the photo above there is a surprising amount of clearance which gives you the pilot more room to maneuver around comfortably, and allows you to worry less about your toggles in flight. Again, a small thing, but when flying units side by side for long periods of time, it's something you begin to appreciate.

Great Ground Comfort:
Ground comfort is extremly important when it comes to a paramotor, even if you don't think it is. The difference between having a paramotor that feels comfortable, lightweight, and easy to use vs something heavy or uncomfortable completely changes your flying experience. Ultimately your flying experience is directly correlated to the equipment you have, so each of these items is important. Ground comfort is less so about overall weight and more so about how the weight distributes across your body. Macfly does a phenomenal job at placing the heavy items like the engine & fuel as close to your body and as high up on your body as possible. These small changes in location can totally change how heavy or light the paramotor feels. Having 15 pounds of weight, 2 inches lower and 2 inches further behind you can make it feel twice as heavy. For us, having something that makes it as comfortable as possible makes a big difference when we are going on bigger adventure flights. Comfort and ease of use become a big deal when launching in harder locations, higher altitudes, or just on hot low wind days. Comfort matters.

Rounded Main Frame Skids:
The rounded main frame skid is one of those small things that we have found to be really nice for a few reasons. Firstly in the off chance you hit your leg on it the rounded skid is far more comfortable than a 90 degree angle or sharp edge. Secondly if you do ever have to butt land, which happens to all of us, the rounded skid does a much better job at sliding across the ground instead of pushing the top of the cage and you downward into the ground. The rounded skids being able to slide better also help distribute energy better on a harder landing and makes it less likely that you'll crack a main frame.

Two Sided Main Frame:
Again one of the small things that does make a difference is having a main frame that doesn't have any bars across the bottom leaving an open space for your legs to more freely. This is another thing related to ground comfort, because having anything that is hitting your legs can really change your ability to get a good stride on launch or on landing. If you're launching a full tank of fuel, or landing in a tight spot with rocks and weeds, this can make a big difference in being able to confidently and comfortable handle the situation.
![]()
Comfortable Out Of The Seat Position:
When getting out of the seat, either for a glorious footdrag or to come in for landing, you want to have a comfortable more vertical out of the seat position. With the Macfly you're able to easily slip out for a comfortable footdrag across a glassy blue lake that's a 15 mile hike from town (see photo above) or for a graceful landing. Having a slightly more vertical position can make it easier to land on your feet without falling backwards or tripping forwards. The Macfly seat is also easy to get back into without needing your hands.
![]()
In Flight Weight Shift:
When it comes to in flight performance the first metric is how well does it weight shift. Having arms that comfortably move up and down with the press of your legs changes how well you're able to control the glider as a whole. The Macfly has two great forms of weightshift that you don't get with every paramotor. The first is that the arms articulate up and down just as well as anything else. Meaning, your true weight shift is great in itself. But the second thing the Macfly does very well is that you're able to move yourself side to side in the paramotor slightly which can make you feel like you and the glider are more connected. As you're carving down a mountain or through a canyon you're able to shift left and right with the glider, which makes it feel like you and the glider are working together, not that you're just telling it what to do.

Torque Compensation:
Torque steer is something every paramotor will face and is something that can be compensated for through good engineering. Macfly has two forms of torque compensation, the first is the more typcial built in compensation. The swingarms are offset slightly as most paramotors do. The second form is through the carbon fiber spars. These spars can offer some aerodynamic torque compensation which is really only needed for pilots that are either very light or on larger engines. Our team personally finds the standard spars to do more than enough for the torque compensation.

Trike Attachment:
One of the cool parts of the Macfly Paramotor is that they have a light trike that can be added to your footlaunch unit anytime. This gives you a wide range of options allowing you to swap back and forth as you please.

Properly Placed Bottom Spars:
The two most commonly fallen on locations of a paramotor are the bottom right and the bottom left. This is usually on launch or on landing when a pilot trips and sits down. The Macfly is one of the few paramotors that puts a proper spar from the main frame the the bottom right and the bottom left. When a pilot falls on a Macfly it is very rare to ever bend a cage section. This simple, yet effective approach the the cage design adds a lot of strength where it's needed.
