Prepare To Taste Adventure!

This 5 day training program is designed to push you outside your comfort zone, help you improve your skills, and create memories that'll last a lifetime! During this training program we will fly as a team, venturing off on up to 2 guided flights a day, landing off site, fly camping as a group, flying to breakfast, and more.

This training is designed to be a mix of our advanced training and adventure flying. This training is built around skill building sessions, and fun adventure flying. Half our training sessions (roughly) will be for skill building training, like improved launches, landings, energy managment, and more, while the other half ot the training is designed around fun group adventures flights.

Bring a strobe, because we plan to fly every second we legally can. From 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset. If we can be flying, we will be flying! If you're not totally worn out, tired, and ready for a nap by the end of the training, we didn't fly enough!

Spot Landing Drills - These drills are designed with a focus of improving pilots consistency at landing within a very tight locations. We will layout cones, and set targets for students to approach and land at safety.

Motor Out Drills - This is an addition to the spot landing practice, where pilots will kill their engines at random times and will work on landing in exact spots without the assistance of the power. This will help improve pilots safety in the off chance they have an real world engine out and have to land in a very tight location without a go around option. This drill is extremely helpful to pilots and is something that should be done on a regular basis.

Flying To Local Restaurants - There are several different restaurants within flying distance of our LZ that we can safely launch and land at. During the training we will fly as a group to these locations which is super fun! We will also have our equipment truck and trailer follow, just in case we need fuel or a ride back to the LZ!

Fly Camping - There are a lot of friendly locations we as a group can go fly camping at. These locations are accessible via truck in the off chance we need fuel, food, supplies, or a ride.

Canyon Flying - The Salton Sea offers some incredible canyon flying within only 15 minutes of the LZ. We as a group will go off and explore these beautiful canyons.

Mountain Flying - There are a handful of mountains within flying distance which we will outline how to safely approach and fly. We will also as a group explore these mountain peaks and enjoy the beautiful views they have to offer.

Glamis Sand Dunes - The world famous Glamis Sand Dunes are only about an hour drive from our primary LZ and as a group we will all head down there to enjoy some flying together.

Other things we can work on during the training (if requested):

  • Improved launches & landings
  • Cross wind launches & landings
  • Turbulence tolerance
  • Energy managment
    • Steeper turns
    • Spirals
    • Wingovers
    • Barrel rolls
    • SAT's
    • And more (no stalls or spins)

This training is here to help you improve, no matter what it is that you want/need to improve on. We're happy to help you work on whatever it is, that you want help with!

Idea Behind The Training:

This training was created to be just like our advanced training we offer, but with more of a focus on adventures, flying, and fun. This training is designed to be more about the adventures of paramotoring, with guided flights, long xc flights, fly camping, flying to food, and more. This is a way to safely push your limits, test your skills, and have a great time in the process. Mixed in during this training we will do skill building sessions, with a focus on improving skills, working out bad habits, and building confidence.

Training Location & Logistics:

This training will be held at the Salton Sea in southern California. This location offers a very unique flying environment with all day flying, smooth conditions, and a large variety of things to explore. We will venture off to a few different locations during the training, but will always base out of our primary location on the Salton Sea itself.

Equipment Rentals:

We do provide equipment rentals for students who are traveling in from far away! We've got half a dozen paramotors to choose from. We encourage all students to bring their own wings and reserves if they do plan to rent equipment from us. Motor rental is $100 per day (which includes oil and fuel) and $150 per day for wing and motor rental. Contact us directly and we would be happy to help you with renting equipment.

Training Requirements:

This training is designed for a wide range of paramotor pilots. This training was designed for newer pilots with as little as 15 flights, to more experienced pilots with hundreds of flights. Our training is here to help you no matter what skill level you're at.

Advanced Training VS Adventure Training:

You may be wondering what the difference between the advanced training and this training, and that's a great question! This training is designed to be the advanced training, with a twist. This is to be everything the advanced training is, but with more of a focus on venturing out, exploring the area, and enjoying great flights togther. This training is less focused on staying at the LZ to do drills and work on specific skills, although we will also do that. This is designed to be both, in it's own unique and FUN way!
